How Affluent Families Use Bank Capital to Protect and Transfer Wealth
How affluent families may use bank financing to preserve liquidity while planning for estate, legacy, and business-continuity needs.

Communities we serve
An affluent Los Angeles County city in the Santa Monica Mountains foothills, with concentrated wealth in property, business, and entertainment.
Calabasas is east of Agoura Hills along the 101, which puts the Palm Coast office on Townsgate Road in Westlake Village a short drive west for most Calabasas households. Many residents already travel this stretch of the freeway daily.
Meetings take place by Zoom or in person at the Westlake Village office, whichever you prefer. Meeting format and availability can be discussed when scheduling, and the first conversation is complimentary.

About Calabasas
Calabasas incorporated in 1991 and is served by the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Its neighborhoods, several of them gated, hold some of the highest home values in the region, and its residents include business owners, executives, and people working in the entertainment industry whose income can be large and irregular.
That combination produces a distinctive planning picture: wealth concentrated in a primary residence and often in a company or a body of creative work, income that arrives in projects and deals rather than paychecks, estates that are taxable or close to it, and a real need for liability protection and privacy. Coordination among the financial plan, the estate attorney, the CPA, and often a business manager is where the value lies.
Planning priorities
Trust funding, titling, liquidity to settle an estate without a forced sale, and Proposition 19’s effect on inherited property.
Smoothing high and low years, funding retirement accounts when income allows, and timing gains, gifts, and charitable contributions with your CPA.
For taxable estates, premium financed life insurance may be worth evaluating, with the interest-rate, collateral, and policy risks examined first.
Charitable vehicles that fit the tax picture, and preparing children for what they will one day receive.

Yes. Many entertainment-industry households already work with a business manager who handles cash flow and bill payment. Palm Coast’s planning and investment work complements that role, and we coordinate with the business manager, the CPA, and the estate attorney so decisions are made from one set of facts.
Only if there is a genuine need for a large permanent death benefit, typically for estate liquidity, legacy, or business continuity, and if the household can carry the loan’s interest and collateral requirements through a downturn. Palm Coast establishes fit before any policy is designed and stress-tests the strategy with your estate attorney and CPA.
Enough that a lawsuit would not reach the assets you have built. Umbrella limits are set against net worth, public exposure, property, drivers in the household, and any business or board roles. Insurance planning reviews this alongside property coverage, which has become harder to place in parts of the Santa Monica Mountains.
